Strengthening Regional Systems for Economic Safety and Security
Provincial and territorial systems play a key role in delivering services, regulating essential sectors, and shaping access to housing, justice, and community supports. CCFWE engages across jurisdictions to strengthen coordinated responses to economic abuse and improve regional policy and service delivery systems.
We work with provincial and territorial governments across our policy and systems change priority areas.
Key Priorities
- Budget allocation and targeted funding for GBV and economic security initiatives
- Policy alignment with federal strategies, including the National Action Plan to End Gender-Based Violence
- Intergovernmental coordination and bilateral agreements with federal and municipal governments
- Integration of economic abuse considerations into provincial/territorial program design and service delivery frameworks
Our Work
We support provincial and territorial governments through policy briefs, consultations, and cross-sector collaboration to improve economic security and system responses to economic abuse.
