We work in partnership to ensure women have access to and control over their own economic resources. We focus on four strategic priorities: public education and awareness-raising; mental health and wellness; ensuring systems do not inadvertently facilitate economic abuse; and influencing policy. Our aim now is to ensure that Canadian private and public sector policies and practices recognize economic abuse, so that victim-survivors are supported to achieve economic justice, and abusers are held accountable for their behaviours.
The Canadian Centre for Women’s Empowerment (CCFWE) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker to support survivor-centred engagement across our financial empowerment programs and the National Survivor Council. This role focuses on building trusted relationships with survivors of economic abuse, providing trauma- and violence-informed support, and strengthening survivor participation in programs, advisory spaces, and systems-change work. Please send your CV and cover letter to [email protected] by February 15, 2026.
