We work in partnership to ensure women have access to and control over their own economic resources. We focus on four strategic priorities: public education and awareness-raising; mental health and wellness; ensuring systems do not inadvertently facilitate economic abuse; and influencing policy. Our aim now is to ensure that Canadian private and public sector policies and practices recognize economic abuse, so that victim-survivors are supported to achieve economic justice, and abusers are held accountable for their behaviours.

We are currently seeking a Survivor Engagement Specialist to play a key role in building trusted relationships with survivors of economic and other forms of gender-based violence, ensuring their lived experiences shape and inform CCFWE’s programs, policies, advocacy, and research. This role leads inclusive, trauma-informed engagement strategies and supports survivor leaders through meaningful, culturally responsive, and equitable initiatives.
