Workplace Responses
Building Safe and Supportive Workplaces
Economic abuse often affects a person’s ability to obtain, maintain, and succeed in employment. People experiencing economic abuse may face employment sabotage, workplace harassment, financial instability, and reduced career opportunities. CCFWE works with employers, governments, and labour stakeholders to strengthen workplace responses and support economic security and empowerment.
Key Priorities
- Workplace safety and accommodation
- Employer awareness and training
- Economic security and workforce participation
- Workplace policies and supports
Our Work
We support organizational policies and practices that help employers recognize economic abuse and respond in ways that promote safety, retention, and economic stability for people experiencing economic abuse. We also look at ways that legislation and government can support organizations in becoming safer places to work while strengthening the economy as a whole.
