Survivors often disclose how isolating, fearful and stigmatizing economic abuse can be, which is why many survivors choose to remain silent about their experiences. When suffering in silence, it is difficult to come forward, reach out for help and begin healing.
We invite you to share your story. YOU have a powerful and unique story to share. By sharing our personal stories, we allow ourselves a chance to heal through writing while at the same time helping others who might be going through similar things. Stories make us feel less alone, they offer hope and can bring us together. Through sharing stories, survivors of domestic violence and economic abuse can learn that they are not alone. Your story can help another survivor and contribute to policy change, advocacy, economic empowerment, as well as education and creating awareness around the issues of domestic violence and economic abuse.
When you share your story with us, YOU OWN IT. We don’t change it. We post it anonymously – because we know that domestic violence can affect anyone and everyone.
Below you can enter your story anonymously. We do not expose any information on the survivor, including full name and/or location or email. Stories submitted may be shared anonymously by CCFWE for education and awareness purposes.
If you have any questions about sharing, please contact info@ccfwe.org.
Thank you for letting us join you on your journey.
