Lauren Parcher

Social Worker

Lauren is dedicated to fostering emotional safety for survivors of gender-based violence.
They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Equality and Social Justice from Nipissing University, a Master of Arts in Social Justice and Community Engagement from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a Master of Social Work from Carleton University.

Lauren brings extensive experience in both front-line services and advocacy. They have worked in the shelter and child welfare systems, providing critical support to individuals and families navigating difficult transitions. Their advocacy efforts have included collaborations with the Ottawa Coalition to End Violence Against Women and the Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre, where they have focused on anti-violence initiatives supporting 2SLGBTQ+ communities and survivors of human trafficking.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys running, spending time in nature, and relaxing with their beloved cat, JoJo.
