A Financial Empowerment Program Created by Survivors, for Survivors
Rebuilding your life after economic abuse means more than managing money—it means reclaiming identity, independence, and power.
My Money, My Freedom was a financial empowerment program designed to support visible minority women who experienced economic abuse. Developed by survivors and financial experts, the program equipped participants with tools to protect their finances, rebuild confidence, and take back control of their futures.
This project was delivered in collaboration with Trauma of Money and other partners, and ran from 2023 to 2025.
“Learning how to protect my money gave me back something I lost: confidence.”
“I came in with panic, I left with a plan—and a new sense of power.”
“For the first time, I understand credit, debt, and my rights. Knowledge is healing.“
