Canadian Center for Women Empowerment
is the only Canadian organization dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it. Our vision is a world in which all women and girls are economically equal and live their
lives free of economic exploitation.  We work in partnership to ensure women have access to and control over their own economic resources. Our four strategic priorities include:

  1. Public education and awareness-raising
  2. Transforming professional responses
  3. Removing structural barriers
  4. Influencing policy
  5. Research and evidence

We are committed to sharing our expertise through a national working group of practitioners, researchers, and policymakers. Our ultimate goal is to ensure policy and practice recognize economic abuse so that victim-survivors are supported to achieve economic
justice, and abusers are held accountable for their behavior.
