Michaela Mayer is the Senior Director of Programs and Policy at the Canadian Center for Women’s Empowerment (CCFWE) where she leads strategic initiatives to advance national policy and programs focused on economic abuse and financial inclusion. Her work centres on driving systemic and institutional change within financial institutions to improve equity, access, and safety for survivors. She is committed to translating lived experience and complex policy into practical, accessible solutions.
Michaela brings cross-sector experience in refugee and immigration law, economic development, and social justice advocacy at national and international levels. She joined CCFWE in 2022 and holds a Master’s degree in Law and International Development from the University of Vienna.
